Murder

R –v- D & others [2008]

This case involved the stabbing to death of Kodjo Yenga in Hammersmith on the 14th March 2007.

Six youths, including our client, ranging from the ages of thirteen to sixteen were charged with Murder under the legal principle of Joint Enterprise and tried at the Old Bailey. Evidence was both live and by video link due to the age of some of the witnesses, including the deceased’s girlfriend. This case required expertise on the principle of joint enterprise as well as the skills and sensitivity needed to represent a young boy charged with the most serious of crimes, including explaining the evidence and law to him in simple terms and adequately liaising with and involving his understandably concerned family.
