R v M & others [2006]

The client and 4 other defendants were alleged to be part of a conspiracy to rob persons unknown with intent to endanger life. Our client was found in possession of a firearm, to which he pleaded Guilty, however he pleaded Not Guilty to the Robbery and Intent to Endanger Life by putting forward the defence that he had intended to return the gun to the persons unknown. All five defendants were wearing black clothing and balaclavas.

Following a 5 week trial at Kingston Crown Court, the jury accepted our client’s version of the events and he was unanimously acquitted of Robbery and Intent to Endanger Life.
