Robbery
R v L [2008]
The defendant was charged with seven counts of aggravated robbery and false imprisonment with 5 others who the crown alleged were part of a Chinese organised crime gang. It was alleged that the gang would force their way into flats and tie up their victims and threaten them with firearms until the released their pin numbers. This case was a country wide and international investigation by a dedicated police unit and involved identification evidence and large amounts of forensics.
